National Distillers presents FILDA with the process it uses for manufacturing spirits

National Distillers will participate from the 10th to the 14th of this month in the 2018 edition of the International Fair of Luanda, where it will demonstrate the process it uses to manufacture one of the most popular spirits amongst Angolan consumers.

Occupying an area of 72 square metres, the stand recreates the assembly line, from the delivery of the ingredients to the filling and, finally, the product packaging. Visitors will have the chance tosee inside one of the few spirits factories in Angola and taste the finished product.

The beverage industry has been recording are markable growth in the last 10 years, currently representing 4% of nationalGDP (INE — National Statistics Institute). With a strong potential to become the second driving force of the Angolan economy, after the oil industry, itemploys more than 14,000 Angolans, and National Distillers is an important player, holding around 50% of the market share.

With a strong export potential, based onthe model established in Angola, the company with 415 Angolan employees is focused on market diversification. It is currently studying the potential for exports to neighbouring countries such as DRC and Congo Brazzaville, among other markets.

"We have become partners of the Executive in the national effort to diversify the economy and increase exports.Therefore, we believe it is important to familiarise the public with our processes, creating a new experience for the people who visit our stand, whichwe consider to be an exercise in transparency that helps to demonstrate our commitment to quality and to the production registered in Angola", said the company's marketing coordinator, Katyney Dias.
